"I see myself as a huge fiery comet, a shooting star. Everyone stops, points up and gasps "Oh look at that!" Then - whoosh, and I'm gone... and they'll never see anything like it ever again, and they won't be able to forget me - ever."
Jim Morrison

This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Kevin "Bags" McCloskey who was born on July 3, 1952, and passed away on March 19, 2007

"Bags" was a Navy Carrier Pilot serving in 13 squadrons. After 20 years of dedicated service, he retired and continued to provide instruction in military aviation though private contractors for the last 13 years. Kevin enjoyed spending his free time with his many friends and had a love for music and film.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Verne and Evelyn (Donley) McCloskey and is survived by his children, Jessica McCloskey of San Diego, CA and Griffin McCloskey of Phoenix, AZ; his sister Suzanne Holland and brother-in-law Bob Holland of Eugene, OR; sister Verna Normann of Hayward, CA; and other family members and dear friends of many years.

We won't be able to forget him - ever.

Irish Blood
If I had never heard the name
Of thy sorrow and strength divine,
Or felt in my pulses the flame
Of fire they had caught from thine,
I would know this rapture alone
Which sweeps through me n
ow like a flood,
That the Irish skies were my own,
And my blood
Was the Irish blood. -
Mary Blake
